I've been in Washington a full week!!! (9-18-17)



I've been in Washington a full week!!! It's been awesome/hard/fun!!

Let me give ya'll some info

Last tuesday i woke up at 2:30am so i could catch my 7:15 flight to washington! The flight went as expected. Sooooooo many trees. Flying over washington it was literally packed with trees, everything was soooo green and it's about to get even greener. Rain season is upon us ladies and gents. Anyway, after we landed we were picked up by our lovely mission president and his wife and were taken to the mission office where we ate lunch and dinner. After dinner all of the trainers showed up and we were assigned to our companions!! 

My trainer/dad is Elder Simonsen. He is a stuuuuud. He is from Richfield Utah, played football and wrestled in high school. I am his last companion!!! He is on his last transfer. He is anything but trunky, he is a hard working dude and a great example to me of what a full-time missionary is. He is somewhat of a gym rat, he loves protein and working out lol which is good because it keeps me in shape lol 



My first area is in Lynnwood! It neighbors Everett. Our area is right on the Lynnwood/Everett boarder so i get a good amount of both. I am also on a bike!! Some might complain but to be honest it isn't that bad! Our area is moderately flat and on the bright side it keeps me in shape. By the time I'm out of this area expect to see some pics of of my killer calves and thunderous thighs. 

FUNNY/WIERD STORY

So, couple days into the mish and we are contacting in an apartment complex. We come across this guy who's working on a car and we just start talking to him. We asked him a few questions and come to find his parents are LDS but that he doesn't believe in any of it. So he starts telling us what he believes... he believes Jesus was eaten...WHAT yeah the last supper? Thats when he was eaten. That's also why he wasn't found in the tomb the next day. He said people wanted his powers so they ate him. And the sacrament is a representation of us eating his body and drinking his blood. It was a first for both me and my companion LOL He wouldn't listen to anything we had to say so we were just like "alright well we respect your beliefs" and we went on our way lolololol We ran into another lady who said we all come from water. I am kinda in the city-ish so we run into a lot of crazy people, high people and crazy high people LOL 

Another time we were contacting and came across this couple who were smoking some dank weed, I've never smelt it so strong in my life, and we started talking to them. They were completely out of it, we asked if we could come back and talk to them later and the guy said "nah we are just gonna smoke weed" Don't do drugs kids!!

Yesterday me and Elder Simonsen got a taste of the great rain here in Washington. We had a lot of biking to do and it was all in the rain. Neither of us had our rain coats soooooo we got DRENCHED. I've only been out a week and i've already seen/heard some crazy stuff lol

Its been hard but its been fun. Missionary work is awesome and I'm excited for the future!!!

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!! Its my first p-day and im nearly done with my first week here at the mtc! and i LOVE IT. The new building is amazing. The murals are sooo beautiful and cool! IM so grateful that i have my classes in the new building. Its pretty nice here because we basically have our schedules planned out for us. Its about 50/50 here when it comes to food. Sometimes you get somethin good and sometimes you dont. The chocolate milk and maple bars are the BOMB. Ive decided to stop eating desserts and drinking chocolate milk because i dont plan on sending pictures of me looking fat. Misisonary Kort = healthy Kort. Speaking of being healthy...I LOVE MTC BALL. the no dunking rule really kinda kills my vibe though. I dont have an opportunity to show off my hops heheh But for real exercise time is so nice. takes away the awesome stress of the mtc and makes me feel at home. Miracles Yo (10-2-17)

HELLO MY FRIENDS! What a wonderful Conference weekend it has been! It was so flipping amazing. I've never gotten sooo much out of General conference before! Maybe it's because i didnt fall alseep lol So many great talks it's hard to choose a favorite. One that hit me really hard was President Nelson's talk. He asked the question "How precious is The Book of Mormon to you?" It was like a round house kick to the face. I need to strengthen my testimony on The Book of Mormon!!!!!!! I went on my first exchange this last week! Me and Elder Goodfellow (he is a very good fellow btw) had a blast. I was able to explore a new area, meet new people and LEARN. While on exchange we did some service at this assisted living home. Me and Elder Goodfellow helped about 10 old ladies "exercise" hehe we sat in chairs in a big circle and tossed a big balloon around LOL it was so much fun! Mac N Cheese (10-16-17)

Helloooooo!!! This whole week has been a blur. But so many cool things happened!! I went on splits again! This time with Elder Dalley. We were in the mtc together and are both newbies but we killed it! We talked with some crazy people but what's new? lol This email will be short and sweet. Hearing about weber gets me so hyped!! I wish they were that good when i was there lol crossing my fingers that they are still good 2 years from now hehe maybe byu is doing bad because they've started selling caffeinated drinks?? lolol I could be eating a little better. If it werent for biking i would probably have gained 10 pounds already... but that jump rope is awesome!!! I have a perfect spot to jump rope. Our apartment has a little patio that i go and jump on. :) our apartment also has a little work out room. Its got some treadmills, dumb bells, and a bow flex type machine. So we go and exercise there every once in a while. The weather has been nice. Its cool but t...
