Happy Thankagivn :) (11-27-17)

To everyone reading this email...The Gift of Tongues is real!!!! lolol but for real though. We run into a lot of people who say  "i dont speak english" or "ohh only spanish" Whether they speak english or not, i was tired of not being able to communicate. So ive learned spanish!! LOL We have some Hermanas serving in our district and they helped me and elder hancock out. Ive learned to say "We are misisonaries for the Church od Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We dont speak much spanish but we know other missionaries who do. Could we send them to your home?" As well as "what is your name? Number? Address?" Me and Elder Hancock bust out so many Spanish referrals, the Hermanas love us lol So much that they made us cookies hehe

This last week was so good! Me and Elder Hanccok had the opportunity to give two more priesthood blessings. That was aweosme. Thursday was Thanksgiving and it was basically P-Day all day :) That morning we went on a hike to the beach. It was sooo fuuuuun. It was rainy and cold but me and the boyz took some sweet squad pics on the beach and that made it all worth it :) That evening we had dinner with the Jacobsens. The sister missionaries were there as well as 2 other memebers of our ward. It was delish. Definitely different as a missionary. Im so used to watching football, eating, watching football, then more eating. This time is was just eating. LOL still a fun time :)

We got one new investigator this week. Her name is Karen! She is a freshman in highschool and is pretty open to learning more. We taught her the Restoration on her door step and will be meeting with her again this upcoming wednesday! I hope to see her progress!
My boi Jarret was on date to be baptized December 2nd but we are going to have to push his date back. He was talking to his dad about it and his dad told him "you know some people spend their whole lives preparing for baptism" So now he thinks he is rushing into getting baptized. Plus he has to work on keeping the law of Chastity...I so want him to be baptized though, this gospel can help him out sooo much!! He just needs to take that leap of faith!

Sunday (yesterday) was awesoooommmee :) Sacrament meeting was a little bit different. Instead of having a few people give talks they asked six or seven people to share their favorite hymn and why. Then we sang that hymn! It was aweesooomme. I've grown to love singing hymns :) The spirit was sooo strong and it was just a very good meeting. We also got to teach Gospel Principles. We taught signs of the Second comming lol That was sick. we also helped out in primary!! We taught the younglings what a testimony is and how they can share it with their friends! A hand full of the kids then shared their testimony and it was soo sweet :') The kids just illuminated when they bore their testimonies. As short and simple as they were, they were filled with the light of Christ.
Sunday dinner was sooo much fun as well! The Shupes had about all of the missionaries in our district over for dinner. The Shupes are serving a couples mission. All of us missionaries had such a good time :) BLESS

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday season! Help Light the World! Share the Light of Christ with everyone!! I love you ALL :D
